The core of Magento has not had this module. You cann’t send emails on the server if your server doesn’t support to send mail through PHP’s mail. So if you want to send emails in Magento, you need to install SMTP Pro for Magento.
Lets get started!
Step 1: Login to the gmail account which you want to use for SMTP.
Step 2: Go to this link: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en.
Step 3: Click “1.Go to the “Less secure apps” section in My Account.” then choose Enable .
Step 4: In Smtp Pro, input Gmail username/password and Save
