How AXESSI Achieved Success in Expanding Its Customer Base and Praised the Customer Support with BSS Commerce Apps

AXESSI, a company specializing in the sale of fashion accessories to retail customers globally, made the strategic decision to broaden its customer base by targeting wholesale customers. To facilitate this expansion, the store owner opted to integrate two of our apps: the B2B/Wholesale Solution and B2B Portal/Net Term. These apps were specifically chosen to support AXESSI in effectively catering to the unique needs and requirements of wholesale customers.

AXESSI desires customers to have the option to register for a wholesale account, granting them access to the B2B Customer Portal where they can view wholesale prices on the same site. This functionality does not impact retail customers, ensuring that they are not affected by the wholesale pricing and can continue to browse and purchase products as usual.

πŸ’‘ Solution

To begin with, the merchant created a Wholesale Registration form using the app, incorporating various custom fields to gather the necessary information for a wholesale account. Upon registering an account, customers are required to wait for approval, and they will receive email notifications regarding the status of their account. Approved accounts are assigned the “wholesale” tag. Our support team assisted in restyling the form to align with the merchant’s desired appearance. Subsequently, the form link was embedded in the Footer menu of the site, enabling customers to easily register.

Secondly, Custom Pricing rules were implemented to establish custom prices for customers tagged with “wholesale” through the Registration module. As a result, customers who log in with the “wholesale” tag will be able to view and purchase products at wholesale prices. Our technician assisted in installing the Custom Pricing code on relevant pages as well as on the cart symbol of the header. Additionally, we customized the merchant’s requirements to display a message, “NOT AVAILABLE FOR WHOLESALE,” under the product price when a product is not eligible for wholesale discounts.

There was a minor issue regarding the speed of displaying prices, as the app’s code needed to run and check the product and customer conditions to determine the appropriate price (wholesale or retail). However, our technical team promptly resolved this issue, ensuring that the Custom Pricing code only affected customers tagged with “wholesale” and did not impact other customers.

Lastly, the merchant utilized the B2B Portal/Net Term app to display a portal that linked to a Quick Order form where wholesale clients can buy in bulk. A rule was established to ensure that customers who logged in with the “wholesale” tag could access the B2B Portal on the Account page, which in turn directed them to a Quick Order Form displaying wholesale prices. The Quick Order Form contained valuable information related to the product, but it experienced some glitches when viewed on mobile devices. However, our support team promptly addressed and resolved this issue as well.

“I looked around at several apps that could give me the functions I required for a wholesale pricing solution. I settled on this app as it had the most flexible functions; registration form, custom pricing (lots of flex with the conditions!), varying tax treatment, and varying shipping cost rules which are important with larger orders generated with wholesale and can be tailored to a customer type via a customer tag. – plus many more functions I will probably use in the future. I was also pleased with solutions for extra charges which are handy to add to my retail store for larger or heavier items. The app also adds discount pricing codes and BOGO and rules surrounding the usage of those which are very handy.
When there is a lot of function, complexity can be an issue and it did take me a little while to figure it out, but I got there (and I’m one of those people who hate to read instructions – but there is a lot of written instruction if you need). But the best part is the very helpful and responsive support I’ve received technical assistance from BSS Commerce when installed B2B apps and the team also did a few small customizations. If you have a basic understanding of theme code, you can easily follow their instructions, but so good to have their support and get it up and running correctly the first time. It’s not the cheapest solution, but it’s packed with functions that have given me some more ideas about how I can improve my store. I definitely recommend it.”

“Firstly, the customer service and responsiveness of the BSS team are outstanding. Emma was very helpful in answering all my questions and committed to helping me achieve the outcome I desired. I needed a little help implementing some code and styling and each request was met willingly and quickly. Special mention to Nguyen Ngoc Hai who assisted with the coding requests.
There was initially a coding clash with my back-in-stock buttons on the product pages, but this was attended to immediately and fixed – a pleasant experience compared to other app developers.
I required some assistance formatting my main portal information page and that was provided willingly and promptly. Much appreciated!
I noticed some site speed reduction which is inevitable for a logged-in wholesale customer due to the extra price calculations for tax considerations, but BSS was quick to eliminate for guest customers, so my retail store was unaffected.
One overarching theme was the prompt communication and willingness to help, fix, and explain anything I needed.
I now have a fully operational wholesale portal and a team to assist me with any future questions or issues. They have a development team too where more specific customizations can be achieved for a fee, which I intend to explore. The portal integrates well with the B2B wholesale app. and I look forward to exploring the many other features of the portal in the future.”
